第13回 TOKYO職人展 取材記事公開のお知らせ

平素は格別なお引き立てを賜りまして心より深く感謝申し上げます。銀師上川善嗣でございます。

第13回 TOKYO職人展において実施された中高生による取材記事が、

東京都「TOKYO中高生WEB」にて公開されました。

本取材では、江戸十二代銀師としての歩み、

東京銀器の歴史、そして現代における「誂え」の意義や「不易流行」について

若い世代の皆様の視点から丁寧にまとめていただいております。

次代を担う中高生の皆様が、

ものづくりの精神や職人の志に関心を寄せてくださったことを、

心より嬉しく存じます。

銀師の仕事は、単に器物を制作することではなく、

人と時をつなぐ営みであると考えております。

このような機会を通じ、伝統工芸の価値が未来へと繋がっていくことを願っております。

Announcement: Publication of Interview Article from the 13th TOKYO Shokunin Exhibition

An interview article conducted by junior high and high school students during the 13th TOKYO Shokunin Exhibition has been published on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “TOKYO Chukosei WEB” website.

In this interview, my journey as the 12th-generation Edo silversmith, the history of Tokyo silverware craftsmanship, and the contemporary significance of “Atsurae”—the Japanese tradition of bespoke creation—are thoughtfully presented from the perspective of the younger generation.

I am sincerely grateful that the students, who represent the future, have shown such genuine interest in the spirit of craftsmanship and the dedication of artisans.

The work of a silversmith is not merely the creation of objects.

It is, I believe, an endeavor that connects people and time.

Through opportunities such as this, I hope that the value of traditional craftsmanship will continue to be carried forward into the future.
